Advertising Design and Photo Manipulation:
Where is the line drawn between copyright infringement and recreating work into something new and original? Does photo manipulation always have to be considered untruthful? Through this project I explored how I could take well known images by famous photographers, manipulate them, push them to extremes and even poke fun at them, all while starting a conversation about these questions. In the same way, I gathered classic slogans and tag-lines with the aim of repurposing them to fit each image. The end product is a set of satirical and strange advertisements created completely from repurposed elements.
