Health-e Journey is an app I helped create with Spine Care Partners. I aided in the user interface and experience of the app in addition to creating illustrations to be used within it.
Overall Goal
Health-e Journey aims to guide the user through the steps they can take in order to reduce their back pain and improve spine health. The app contains a variety of self-care options and a library of information and resources to aid the user in their journey towards back (and overall) health.
Onboarding Questions
Health-e Journey has the user answer standard questions and uses an algorithm to best asses the needs of the user. From there the app is able to direct the user to the right treatment for them. This could be showing them self-care options and/or suggesting they connect with a specialist or emergency care.
Daily Challenges
These assessment questions will also dictate which articles, movement, food and breathing exercises are best suited for the user's needs. These activities show up in the "daily challenges" section of the app.
Tracking Progress
Since Health-e Journey focuses on being self-guided, the user is able to view their own progress while using the app. Daily questions to track the user's pain levels, function (activity performance ability) and mood are used to collect data on the user's improvement.
Self-Care Arena
The self-care section of Health-e Journey is where the user can find articles, exercises and recipes to help them in their self-guided health journey.
Progress Area
Here the user can view their personal pain, function and mood progress, as well as make journal entries and view achievements they have earned through using the app. Achievements add a level of gamification to the app to keep the user engaged.
